Plant Centre

For this project Vivid Space designed water features, signage, sculptures and gates. We produced detailed design drawings for the client and discussed various options until the client was happy. We managed the project, whilst the designer/ makers created the features and we oversaw the installation to ensure client satisfaction. Finally we advised the client on maintenance of the features and have continued to provide follow-up advice.

Hampton Court Flower Shows 1998 - 2001

For the past 4 years Vivid Space has designed and built a garden at the Hampton Court Flower Show. It has become a showcase for our design prototypes thereby creating new and unique pieces. These include: sculptural designs, water features, gates, railings, flooring, lighting and furniture. Vivid Space manages the construction of each garden and works closely with the designer/makers to create beautiful and challenging designs.

The 2000 Garden at Hampton Court was featured on Channel 4 television.

Garden Design featured in 'The Guardian' October 2000

A garden for a private house - designed and managed by Vivid Space. Oak decking with used-brick walls and circular pond. Planting was chosen by the client and plant expert. Our experience enables us to bring our high standards to any project. By managing the project and dealing with recommended subcontractors, we maintain constant communication with the client and guarantee the quality of the finished project.

London Fashion Show

Working with designer Fusako Akimoto, Vivid Space created these copper wire sculptures for fashion designer Kosuke Tsumura at the London Fashion Show. Winning a Silver Award for the most outstanding Exhibition Design at the British Design & Art Direction Awards, these huge sculptures were suspended from the ceiling with mirrors creating reflections beneath them. The models wove their way down the catwalk through the metal sculptures which reflected the mathematical theme of the show.

Other Projects

Vivid Space has managed a variety of projects, large and small. With our combined experience in structural engineering, interior design and theatre design we have the expertise to oversee projects from start to finish. We ensure the very highest standards, by working with the designer/makers and recommended subcontractors. Smaller projects include: designs for bars, internal fixtures such as bridges and water features, lighting, gates, railings and garden features.

Vivid Space has worked on a wide range of projects from garden design for the RHS at Wisley, set design for the London Fashion Show, to designs for bars and many private individuals. With our experience in design and with qualifications in structural engineering, interior design and theatre design, we work closely with the client at every stage of a project to ensure the highest standards. We employ our own recommended subcontractors whose high standards match our own.
